Lucia Damaschin - Chișinău, Moldova
I first met Lucia through Couchsurfing in Moldova. I was looking for a local's perspective on nightlife activites and places to see. She agreed to meet up and brought along her friend, Alina, and an American, Sam. All four of us hung out a few times while I was in town. I thoroughly enjoyed my time with Lucia. She is a firecracker of a person. Her motivation to better herself everyday is a great aspect of who she is. Not only did she show me a great time, but she also gave me pointers on the hidden gems of Moldova. She's a fantastic person to be around. ~ Dan Hellinger

What improvements do you want to see Moldova make in the next 5 years? Is money important or is the power of knowledge more crucial to you? |
"First of all I’d really like Moldova to be part of the European Union .We are still struggling to have a better life and things are pretty rough here , but we still hope that we can change something . Also I hope that in five years people will be more tolerant and also more united and friendly."

Lucia's Travel Story |
"I have had many crazy stories happening in my life, but I’d like to share an interesting one that involves Daniel and also some other friends. I remember the first time when I met him. We partied with my local friend and another American and had a really nice time drinking wine, going to a local Moldavian club and then eating sushi after midnight. We didn’t sleep for 24 hours. In the morning we were so wasted that Daniel fell asleep and Sam - our other friend, found a homeless cat and made it stay by force in his apartment. It was really funny when we went to grab coffee. I was the only one being energetic and lively, while the boys were sleeping with their heads on the table and telling me that I was a witch." ~ Lucia Damaschin
