Joe Wittman - Seattle, WA, USAJoe has been a life long friend since I was still learning to ride a bike. We both grew up together in West Seattle. We were inseparable growing up as we became fast friend at an early age. As we got older, wiser and made new friends, we both went different paths. Joe is the definition of a good dude. He has a family first prospective in life, which is something everyone should aspire to have. His cross-country trip opened up his eyes to the opportunities the US has to offer in the many different areas of the country. Travel, no matter the distance, has a profound effect on everyone. ~ Dan Hellinger

Joe's Travel Story
"This year I was offered to take a 6 month job in Vermont and be a part of an accelerated bridge construction project. I took the opportunity to drive from Washington to Vermont & did some site seeing along the way, not only has my time in Vermont/the east coast been an amazing experience but it was great to see how different the US is in different areas and how much opportunity there is for anyone in our country to be successful. It has been a really eye opening experience." ~ Joe Wittman
What improvements do you want to see the US make in the next 5 years?"I would like to see the US improve their funding of education. Children/young adults are the future of the US and do not receive the education that they should due to many factors; personal income, income of their parents, areas they live in, etc. Good education will ensure success for the individuals & our country long term."

What aspirations do you want to achieve in life?"My aspirations are to be successful for myself and my family. Successful in terms of being able to do what I love for a living and always being able to be there for my family."
|
Is money or the power of knowledge more crucial to you?"Money is important in all aspects of life but I believe that nothing can replace the value that knowledge can bring you. In my career I am currently taking less money for more experience because I know that it will pay dividends in the future and that the knowledge I am gaining is irreplaceable."
