Aleksandra Gogola - Jaworzno, Poland

Aleksandra and I met on our Hong Kong exchange trip. She was one of the first people I met at the airport. It has been three years since her and I met. But, once I saw her in Krakow, Poland, it felt like Hong Kong all over again. Meeting people abroad can bring back those fun memories from years past. It was a nostalgic moment.

Alexsandra is one intelligent girl. Her passion to better herself is a great attribute to have. Her next step may take her to India if everything works out. She has the motivation to travel and live abroad, which I think is an experience everyone should have in their life time. I can't wait to see where she ends up in the next few years. ~ Dan Hellinger

What improvements do you want to see Poland make in the next 5 years?

"Starting with the people attitude, I would like to see people smiling more and complaining less as well as being more tolerant and open minded. When it comes to other aspects I would like to see changes in education system to be more flexible and more adjusted to the needs of the future labor market, system which encourage people not only to deepen their knowledge but also to gain essential experience by introducing students to the all opportunities they have nowadays. I would like also to see more developed transportation infrastructure with better organization and higher quality. And last but not least, not going much into details with politics I would like to see more stability and consistency with decisions and governance."

What aspirations do you want to achieve in life?

"Aspirations might change during a life time and in every stage we have different aspirations and goals. That might sound trivially but I simply want to be happy. As for now I want to travel and gain as much interesting experience as I can and become an expert in my area of interest but I want to keep healthy work/life balance to have time for family, friends, love and for doing what makes me happy."

Is money important or is the power of knowledge more crucial to you?

"Obviously with money you cannot buy everything but I’m aware that without money I would not be able to make most of my dreams come true and have a decent life. In the ideal world I would say that money and the power of knowledge should go hand in hand, more you learn, more you know along with good ideas should bring you money eventually, so both are equally crucial I would say."

Aleksandra's Travel Advice

"There is no just one crazy story in terms of travel in Poland for me as I’m usually with my family and friends having fun, enjoying time together and doing what we love, mostly waterskiing, skiing and other hobbies we share together. Every trip is different and crazy at its own way." ~ Aleksandra Gogola
